
The observatory's structure is based on typical aluminum CNC profiles (40x40mm) with walls and a roof made of 4 mm thick boards made of polyester-glass laminate. The high roof and opening front wall allow the telescope to be positioned above the roof drive line. Thanks to this, unlike many other structures of this type, it is possible to conduct observations even close to the horizon.

ScopeDome ROR RS485 card

The ScopeDome ROR RS485 card is used to control the motor that opens and closes the RollOfRoof observatory. It allows you to control three-phase 230VAC motors (the same ones used in ScopeDome domes). It is equipped with roof opening and closing sensors and an input for the telescope parking sensor.
